Southampton is the shopping hub on the south coast and one of the UK's top 10 retail destinations. The city centre has two indoor shopping centres, an IKEA store, an impressive retail park, plus boutique shopping for those looking for something a little different.

  • WestQuay Shopping Centre 
    WestQuay, located in the heart of Southampton city centre, boasts over 100 stores spread over three shopping levels. With a host of big name brands, action-packed events, fantastic fashion and more, it’s easy to see why WestQuay has become the south coast’s premier shopping destination.
    Big Name Brands
    Boasting the biggest line up of top brands in the region, WestQuay brings together fashion, beauty, homewares and more all under one roof.   • Bedford Place is situated a short walk to the north of Southampton's main city centre and its side streets retain all the atmosphere of a bygone era, in what is probably the last bastion of small independent, up-market businesses in Southampton’s city centre. By day and night, the throng of bars, coffee shops, pubs and restaurants are a hive of activity.
     
  • Queensway shops including Debenhams department store can be found along Queensway.
     
  • Oxford Street hosts independent boutiques, salons, bars and restaurants huddle along Oxford Street.

The popular markets has continental type stalls. Some of the delights on offer include: high quality fruit and veg, a local butcher, bakery and cake stall, Mediterranean olives, European cheeses, old fashioned confectionery, pet food and accessories, Fairtrade items, leather goods, gifts and a wide range of make up.
If you’re feeling hungry there are also various food stalls offering treats such as noodles, hog roast and ever popular baguettes, burgers and hot dogs.
