Animal Agents

Summer Reading Challenge

Have you heard about the strange goings-on at your local library this summer?

Meet the Animal Agents, and join the Summer Reading Challenge - it's your chance to solve a mystery and catch a crafty crook!
As you read over the summer, use your wits and power of observation to sift through the clues. You'll even pick up some stinky stickers along the way.
You'll also be working with the Animal Agents, the coolest band of crime crackers you've ever met!
How do I get started?
Join the Summer Reading Challenge and pick up your Animal Agents collector’s folder at your local Southampton library.
It’s completely free!
All you have to do is read six books over the summer holidays. There are rewards to collect on the way, a certificate and medal too. Last year over 2,500 children took part in Southampton alone!
When can I start?
Animal Agents is now on at your local library and runs until Saturday 2 September 2017

Time banks - Meet the brokers

Time Banking is an exciting way for local people to help each other as well as themselves. Members of all ages and abilities can join to exchange a whole range of skills. Time Bank members trade their time between each other doing the jobs they enjoy and getting help with the ones they either don’t enjoy or they need help with.
Members contributions are welcomed and everyone’s skills are valued equally - one hour always equals one time credit regardless of the type of transaction. The broker helps arrange the exchanges and keeps a record of all the time credits earned.
Drop in and meet your local broker and find out how you too can become a time bank member:
Mondays / 10am - 12noon / Woolston Library
Fridays / 10.30am - 12.30pm / Portswood Library
Can't make the drop ins want to know more? If you are in the Woolston area contact Lynda on 07931 223 137, or in the Portswood area contact Gwyneth on 07795 050 294
