The incredible Flying Santa returns to the skies as part of this year's Southampton Christmas Festival.

The Southampton Christmas Festival takes place on Above Bar pedestrian precinct and Bargate Street from Saturday 11 November - Saturday 23 December 2017.

It features a Christmas market operated by internationally renowned WELA Märkte featuring totally unique, individually designed alpine themed chalets with traditional German fayre, from bratwurst and waffles to gingerbread hearts and candied fruit, mulled wine and cold stein beer.

The market includes over 40 independent stallholders* offering a range of hand-made, authentic traitional hand-made gifts.

This free festival also boasts daily entertainment with musicians and carol singers performing daily.

Chalet opening hours: 10am - 8pm
Bar opening hours - 10am - 10pm

To add a little extra special Christmas magic to the Christmas Festival throughout the festive period, there will be two Flying Santa shows each day, Monday to Saturday at 5pm and 7pm, and Sundays at 3pm and 5pm. Each show lasts approximately 15 minutes. (This is subject to weather conditions).

After each show, Santa will invite children to accompany him to the large Advent calendar and will hand out small treats to all children. (Provided they have been good!)

This Flying Santa will result in the road closure of Hanover Buildings from the junction with Vincents Walk and Bargate Street Mon - Sat 4.30pm - 8pm and Sundays 2.30pm - 6pm.
