Apprenticeships & Skills Training

Apprenticeship & Traineeship Training

Apprenticeships are offered to young people aged 16 - 24 to provide on the job training as well as real work experience. Applicants must be employed in the chosen occupational area to start an apprenticeship - training providers can offer guidance and support with this, but they are not able to find an employer.
Need an employer? Try contacting companies directly to get some work experience as it will improve the chances of being accepted on an apprenticeship and help find out more about the job.

Apprenticeship places are highly sought after - applicants should show they are serious and committed.

A Traineeship is an unwaged education and training programme with work experience that is focused on giving young people the skills and experience that employers are looking for. At its core are work preparation training, English and maths for those who need it, and a high quality work experience placement.
