With an exclusive interview with the Chairman of Southampton Football Club Ralph Krueger and a focus on world leading innovation in the city, the latest edition of Southampton Magazine is proving to be a really good read.

Those of us who are lucky enough to live and work in Southampton have always been aware of the innovation that drives the city and edition 5 of the Southampton Magazine gives a flavour of the world-leading creativity happening here.

Our cover star is Ralph Krueger, Chairman of Southampton Football Club. In his interview he gives an insight into the 'Southampton Way' and talks about the club’s global ambitions.

Life Sciences is a key area of activity in the city. Southampton Magazine was privileged to speak to the experts in the city who are quite literally changing the world in which we live. Professor Peter Johnson, Professor of Oncology at University of Southampton is Cancer UK's Chief Clinician; who also directs the Southampton Research UK Centre. He is helping to shape the future of clinical research across the UK and has pioneered new treatments that use the power of the body's own immune system to attack tumours.

We also take a look at the vision for Southampton's Itchen Riverside VIP project, which includes the new housing development at the former Meridian television studios along with the proposed regeneration scheme at Chapel Riverside as well as an update on the city’s developments.

Find out about the history and future of Ordnance Survey and 'BMT Nigel Gee' Yacht Design Director James Roy talks about the multi-million pound superyachts his company help to create, designed right here in Southampton.
