Southampton's New Arts Complex Showcase - Saturday 15th March, 11am - 4pm - Southampton City Art Gallery

Come and find out more about Southampton’s new arts complex* and meet the four organisations who will occupy the planned site opposite Guildhall Square: Art Asia, City Eye, John Hansard Gallery and The Nuffield. Enjoy a taste of the fantastic activities the complex will offer and view the architect’s current plans for the site.

Find out more about the city beneath your feet with an exhibition of Saxon archaeological finds discovered during the building of West Quay
Younger audiences (accompanied by an adult) can visit the Children’s Central Library to show off their artistic skills, 10:00am - 12noon and 1:00pm - 4:00pm

11:00am	Classical Asian Music, experience the pure sound of India with a range of beautiful ragas (musical scales) and talas (rhythms) performed by Art Asia.
11:00am	Tour the Art Conservation Studio and Stores, advanced booking required via the City Art Gallery shop 023 8083 2705.
11:30am	Southampton Shorts, view a 1hr long programme of films produced in, for & about the area. Curated by City Eye & incorporating work from schools, students, voluntary groups & professionals.
12:00noon	The Sforzando Quartet, University of Southampton music students perform saxophone classics from the 20th century.
12:30pm	Expect the Unexpected from The Nuffield Theatre!
1:00pm	Southampton Shorts, view a 1hr long programme of films produced in, for & about the area. Curated by City Eye & incorporating work from schools, students, voluntary groups & professionals.
1:30pm	Southampton Barbershop Youth Chorus, a local vocal quartet present a programme of barbershop favourites.
2.00pm	Expect the Unexpected from The Nuffield Theatre!
